1.1. Basic Transformations

< 1 min read

All application interfaces use a common signal-processing system. Each element of this system can be enabled or disabled separately and has its own settings. The transformations are applied in the following order:

  1. Selection of data type (Type): RAW (raw data) or Filtered (pre-filtered in the 3–100 Hz range with a 50 Hz notch filter)
  2. Trim: Removal of marked artifact segments
  3. CAR (Common Average Reference): Re-referencing to a common reference electrode
  4. Denoise (blink artifact suppression): Wavelet processing to remove blinks
  5. Normalize: Amplitude normalization
  6. IMF (Empirical Mode Decomposition): Decomposition into modes
  7. Filter: Band-pass filtering
  8. Epoch: Averaging over epochs
  9. Power/Amplitude: Conversion to power or amplitude
